Hello again! It’s Jen from the Orlando Cocktails & Chemo headquarters.

I wanted to keep you all in the loop on some fundraisers that are happening.  With Joe still hospitalized in Houston, expenses are adding up.  Just to give you some examples of what they are dealing with in terms of money:

• Amanda’s not working = not getting paid
• Joe’s been in the hospital longer then expected = Extending Houston apartment stay at least 3 weeks.
• Parking at the hospital is over $10 per day!
• Amanda needs to eat!
• They still have to pay for health insurance, rent for their Orlando house, car payments, car insurance, etc.
• Airline flights for when they return to Orlando.  Did you know they will both have to fly first class because they can’t risk anyone bumping Joe on a plane?  Or Amanda’s precious cargo in her belly?  Plus, paying for a medical escort.
• They’ll have to pay for a nurse when they return to still attend to Joe.
• And so much more…..

Every little bit helps and there are many ways you can get involved.

  Cost: $75/couple or $50 per ticket

  There are also some other ways you can help.  As you know, there’s this baby that’s expected to arrive soon.  Baby showers have been delayed and there has been no time to shop or prep in Houston.  You know what they can use? Baby essentials!  Diapers, lotion, shampoo, onsies.  Nothing fancy – just baby basics.  If you’re interested in donating any of these items, send an email CocktailsandChemo@gmail.com and we’ll email you the shipping information.  Any little thing can not only help this couple financially, but can also help reduce the stress they are going through thinking about all they still have to do before the baby arrives.
