Today is Cute Nurse Thursday, every male patient’s dream! š
I love you Amanda. Just trying to be funny on the blog. Like you and I, these readers need a chuckle every-so-often! “Doom and Gloom” gets old very fast!
Last chemo was tough. I was out of commission for about a week. It doesn’t make me “bed-bound,” but it certainly takes 2-3 hours to actually get out of bed every day. By the time I am downstairs making breakfast, it’s 11:30am!
Then again, who’s complaining?
I can’t really describe it. My legs don’t work right away. They feel sore, like I ran a marathon. The rest of my body is just too exhausted to move. I usually get up, shake off the rust, do some stretches, maybe get some water….put my dentures in….the usual…
I haven’t been sick. In fact, it hasn’t forced me to the toilet yet (in either fashion :). My hair is slowly falling out, but i think its pretty much done. It seems to fall out on the 4th or 5th day of chemo. It’s just thin now. Why I still have this much nose hair, I’m not sure. Cancer is bullshit like that! It takes my beloved John Stamos hair without asking permission, and so quietly leaves the unwanted hairs in my ears that only the OneTouch can effectively reach!!! There’s also the metallic taste that usually comes with this type of cocktail. It’s called a metallic martini? That might be a stretch. It’s not very good though. I know that.
Well, the nurse just came over. I think she saw the title…..
