Jen here again from Team #JoeStrong.
I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all spent a somber weekend reflecting on the latest post. It’s been difficult to find the right words, to figure out how we can help. I have heard from many of you asking how to help. Many have shared some great ideas and we hope to be rolling those out soon. But there is an immediate way you can help the Clark family. We are tired of talking about medical bills and travel expenses. Those are there, but at the same time, life is short – let’s not worry about the bills!
It’s time to send the Clark’s on a great vacation! On Joe’s bucket-list, taking Amanda to Chicago to see the Chicago Blackhawks play. He wants to show her why he loves them, and the sport, so much. So they are planning to head out THIS WEEK to freezing Chicago to spend a night with the Blackhawks and visit some family and friends. They have to move fast because Chemo starts on Monday, and the doctors are planning to be very aggressive with treatment. (Monday will also be #JoeStrong day – so wear your blue and send your photos using the hashtag so we can see all of your support- details below!!!)
But as you know, it’s not cheap. Here’s where you come in.
Give what you can. Give knowing that the money is going to make memories for a family trying to live life to its fullest before dealing with chemo.
Click on this paypal link. Give $5…or $50…or $500. All of the money is directly in the hands of Amanda and Joe and let’s all hope they can spend the weekend without just one thing to worry about…..money. Because, after all, it’s all about #living.
PAYPAL: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=PN9989ET692Q8
And please join us for #JoeStrong Day on Monday, March 10. Wear your blue and snap a selfie showing your support with the hashtag, #JoeStrong. When Joe goes to chemo, he’s stuck in a chair with his iPad. Let’s overwhelm him with support from around the country! Spread the word!

Thank you all for the great support! Keep it coming! We’ve had some great offers via email and these comments and I actually think the Clark’s will be having an AMAZING time in Chicago this weekend! Thank you all for your love, support and generosity.
What day are they going to the game? I might have a friend who works for the team and I know some people in Chicago sports media that I can contact. Maybe work out something.

May the Lord bless and make your visit to Chicago a super happy memory. Prayers sent also so both of u can make another trip this summer.
Respectfully,

Enjoy this trip, make memories, enjoy being with each other and try to live in the moment, it will be hard but you both deserve this and more. It’s cold here so dress warm, be safe. Love and prayers to you. Anne
Just left a little something via paypal but wanted to say I hope this is the first trip of many. You are in our hopes, dreams, thoughts and prayers. Praying for clean margins and easy biopsies and blood tests. You (all three of you) deserve it.
I have been reading some of your posts via some friends on Facebook and have been really inspired and amazed by you. I have never donated to complete strangers before but I hope my very small gift helps you enjoy a weekend together in Chicago. I also plan to visit around our first anniversary next year to show my husband one of my favorite cities.

I have been following your story through our daughter-in-law, Rachel Cook. I hope that our PAYPAL donation will help to contribute to a magical weekend. Best wishes, Sheree and Bob Freeman
I have been following your story through Cindy Purdue. My husband and I left you a little something in Paypal for your trip. God Bless you both. Thoughts and prayers.
I have no idea who you are… But last year I was diagnosed with stage 2A Hodgkin’s lymphoma and am now in remission …nothing is worse than going through one of, if not the worst thing a human can go through PLUS worrying about the bills. Its not much, but it will help. Good luck to you… Remember, this too shall pass.
