“STAY GLAM!”
I love that Joe’s final messages to me have started a movement. When I read the letter he left me after he died I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the words, Stay Glam. He went on to say he wanted to make sure I was taking care of myself, to hold my head up high, to put my favorite lipstick on and handle it.
The idea now lives on through Cocktails & Chemo caregivers in our signature STAY GLAM event.
We spent the day pampering caregivers at Orlando salon, Xander Blue in Dr. Phillips on December 6th. The team of stylists were professional, compassionate and beyond talented. I came to the salon with the idea and before I even got out the words the owners gave a resounding, YES!

Lots of hugs and tears on this very special day!
Caregivers filled the salon and given the red carpet treatment in the form of cuts, colors, hand massages and most importantly the love and attention they deserve for the day. We took care of moms with sick kids, young women recently widowed, sisters, friends, daughters and wives who have put their lives on hold to care for the people they love.
It was an absolutely amazing day and as I hugged a young mom who was heading back to the hospital I couldn’t hold back the tears. Sometimes all you need is a hug, a day to recharge and to know you are special.
As I told these caregivers, you cannot pour from an empty cup. We cannot thank our partners enough who helped us re-fill what these ladies needed!!
Take a look at these beautiful ladies!

I would like to make a monetary donation. Where can i send a check? Also, is cocktails and chemo a registered charitable organization?
These are all so humbling to read. They all look beautiful…what a wonderful time for them all, to be taken care of and pampered. Thank you Amanda to keep Joe’s “Stay Glam” message alive through these precious caregivers, mothers, sisters, daughters, wives.
